Czech National Infrastructure for Biological data (ELIXIR CZ)
The aim of the project is to ensure that the data generated by other infrastructures meets the FAIR principles which means that the data is findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. To this end, ELIXIR CZ provides hardware and software resources and specific architectures according to the nature of the processed data. This unique technical solution is primarily fulfilled by e-infrastructures responsible for advanced IT solutions, building data storage, access to data and computing capacities.

ELIXIR CZ: Capacity Building
This project strengthened the infrastructure with several thousand computing cores, resulting in up to two petabytes of storage capacity.  This allowed for the direct extension of several excellent databases and tools developed by ELIXIR CZ, such as RepeatExplorer, Dolbico, DNATCO, MotiveValidator, ValidatorDB or SecStructureAnnotator. These services became an integral part of the international ELIXIR ecosystem, and are fully available to all life science researchers.

    Time frame: 1.2.2020 – 31.1.2023
    Budget:  154 575 EUR

ELIXIR-CONVERGE
This international project focuses on the standardization of life science data management across Europe. To achieve this complex goal, a unique data management toolkit dedicated to life scientists will be developed within the project. The toolkit will help to ensure that more research data is in the public domain, which will give scientists access to more data. This will allow them to discover new insights into the challenges facing society, such as food security and health in old age, and help to stimulate innovation in biomedicine and biotechnology.

ELIXIR-EXCELERATE
The EXCELERATE project helped ELIXIR to coordinate and extend national and international data resources to ensure the delivery of world-leading life-science data services. It supported a pan-European training program, anchored in national infrastructure, to increase bioinformatics capacity and competency. It also provided efficiencies in management and operation throughout the infrastructure, which was distributed among 17 countries.
