After several years of meetings dedicated to individual ELIXIR Communities and strategic topics, the 2026 ELIXIR CZ All Hands will bring together the entire ELIXIR CZ community for three days of scientific exchange, collaboration, and strategic discussions.
The conference is designed for researchers, bioinformaticians, data stewards, software developers, infrastructure providers, and other members of the ELIXIR CZ consortium. It will showcase the latest developments across ELIXIR CZ, strengthen collaboration between partner institutions, and provide a platform for shaping future activities within the ELIXIR CZ Strategy 2025–2030.
What to expect
The programme will include:
- Updates on the ELIXIR CZ ecosystem and its role within the wider ELIXIR infrastructure
- Presentations covering the ELIXIR CZ Strategy 2025–2030, including scientific focus areas and cross-cutting themes
- Introductions to ELIXIR CZ consortium partners
- Interactive “Meet the Experts” networking session
- Poster session
- Collaborative hackathon-style working groups addressing current challenges and opportunities across ELIXIR CZ
- Presentation of outcomes and future action plans
Preliminary Programme
Tuesday, 24 November
The opening day will introduce the ELIXIR CZ ecosystem and its strategic vision. Sessions will focus on the scientific domains of Structural Bioinformatics, Chemical Biology, Genomics, and Human Data, followed by cross-cutting topics including Data Management & FAIRification, AI, Large Language Models and Emerging Methods, and Tools & Training.
The afternoon will feature introductions from ELIXIR CZ consortium partners, concluding with a Meet the Experts session and an evening poster session.
Wednesday, 25 November
The second day will begin with presentations introducing collaborative hackathon topics, including initiatives such as TeSS, ELIXIR CZ Impact Stories, bio.tools, AI foundation models, and other community-driven projects.
Participants will then work in parallel groups throughout the day, developing ideas and collaborative outputs.
The day will conclude with a social event.
Thursday, 26 November
The final day will continue with parallel working sessions before participants reconvene to present the outcomes of each group.
The conference will close with a summary of key results, next steps, and closing remarks.
Registration
Registration will open in September 2026. A registration link and practical information will be published on this page once available.
Poster Session
Participants are warmly invited to present their work during the poster session on the first evening of the conference. We welcome posters showcasing research projects, software tools, databases, training activities, FAIR data initiatives, infrastructure services, and other work relevant to ELIXIR and computational life sciences.
Further information about poster submission, including deadlines and formatting guidelines, will be announced together with registration.
Venue
The conference will take place at Chateau Třešť (Zámek Třešť), a historic conference venue that offers excellent facilities for scientific meetings, collaborative workshops, and networking in an inspiring environment.
