DESCRIPTION:Post-AlphaFold Era in Protein Science: new challenges – new paradigms?The
meeting aims to address how recent advances in protein structure prediction
have transformed protein science, while emphasizing the conceptual,
experimental, and methodological challenges that remain unresolved. The
program will cover selected topics including protein structure and
function, conformational ensembles, intrinsically disordered and
multispecific proteins, protein design, and the relationship between
structure, energetics, and biological activity.The conference will reflect
both theoretical and experimental perspectives and will also consider how
fundamental knowledge can be translated into applied and biomedical
research. The major goal of PPS 2026 is to stimulate discussion on the
current state of the field and to anticipate future directions in protein
science beyond static structure models.Prague Protein Spring traditionally
brings together leading scientists, emerging group leaders, and motivated
young researchers. The essential characteristic of the meeting is its
focused mission, delivered through close interaction between highly
