DESCRIPTION:The workshop will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of advanced
sequencing and bioinformatics approaches for analyzing the repeat
composition of plant and animal genomes. Unlike previous workshops that
primarily focused on using the RepeatExplorer pipeline to analyze repeats
from unassembled sequence reads, this year’s workshop will center
on:“Repetitive DNA Annotation in Genome Assemblies.”This shift in focus
reflects the increasing availability of high-quality genome assemblies from
